Kyle Swarts returns to Loyola for his second season as assistant coach. A former goalkeeper at West Virginia Swarts' primary coaching responsibility at Loyola is training the Greyhound goalkeepers.
Swarts graduated with a business degree from West Virginia in 2003, where he was selected to the BIG EAST Academic Honor Roll three times. During his college career, he was selected to the U.S. Regional Team and represented the East at the 2002 U.S. Olympic Festival in Chicago. While playing for the regional team, Swarts spent time training in Switzerland, Belgium, France and Liechtenstein.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Swarts returned to his hometown after graduation and served as head coach for the Buffalo United Soccer Club.
In May of 2005, Swarts' banking career brought him to Baltimore, where he began coaching with the Baltimore Bays Soccer Club and at Calvert Hall High School.
