Missed the entire season following shoulder surgery in November 2006 ... has applied for and received a medical redshirt, joining Isaac Reid and Brian Rudolph as members of the Class of 2011.
Before Loyola
Earned all-state and all-conference honors in football, basketball, and track at Blue Ridge HS ... received four letters in both football and basketball and lettered twice in track ... captained the basketball team as a junior and senior and served as a captain of the track squad as a senior ... won the 100- and 200-meter events at the Virginia state meet ... averaged 18 points, nine assists, five rebounds and three steals during his senior campaign ... impressed the Loyola coaches with his ability to play big in the big games ... poured in 29 points against St. Benedict's HS and also scored 29 against Oak Hill HS ... received the Stimp Hawkins Award as the school's outstanding athlete as well as the St. George Award, the school's highest award for leadership, citizenship, academic achievement, extracurricular activities as well as honor and integrity.

The son of Christina Lewis, Tony Tynel Lewis was born on December 22, 1987 ... credits his mentor Xavier Richardson with helping him ... one of five children ... older brother Corey attends Richmond ... younger siblings are Brittany, Steven and Taneka ... majoring in Business at Loyola.
