Loyola junior Michael Deasel and freshman M.J. Jaskolski claimed the 2008 U.S. Soccer Development Academy U-17/18 Championship on Friday night on the Glenn `Mooch' Myernick Field at The U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Los Angeles. Loyola senior Michael Mulieri fired rounds of 67-66-71-68 at the 2008 Eastern Amateur Golf Championship at Elizabeth Manor Country Club in Portsmouth, Va. over the weekend. The Greyhound captain tied for 13th overall in a very strong international field. Read Full Release

Loyola swimmer Phil Scholz earned one gold, one silver and four bronze medals in his final tune-up for the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing, China. Scholz competed in the CAM-AM Championships in Victoria, British Columbia over the weekend, setting new American and Pan-American records at the meet. Read Full Release

Linnane, S.J., and Vice President for Student Development/Dean of Students Dr. Susan Donovan today announced that Greyhounds Men's Basketball Head Coach Jimmy Patsos has received an extension of his contract. Details of the extension were not announced.
07/10/2008 - Defending ECAC Champion Loyola College will have a new corps of conference opponents beginning in 2010, the ECAC Conference announced today. League commissioner Rudy Keeling announced the addition of five new members that include 2008 NCAA Tournament teams Denver and Ohio State.
07/09/2008 - Two of the top players to come through the Loyola College women's soccer program over the past several years -- Sarra Moller and Ali Andrzejewski -- are on two of the team's contending for the W-League Northeast Division title.
07/05/2008 - Former Loyola women's track coach Julie Culley earned a Top-10 finish at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials with a seventh-place showing in the 5,000-meter final. Culley shaved off more than two seconds from her qualifying time to post an outstanding result on Friday night in Eugene, Ore.

06/25/2008 - Olympic swimmer Katie Hoff will join the Loyola College coaching staff, head coach Brian Loeffler announced today. Hoff will both attend classes and serve as a volunteer assistant coach for the swimming and diving program beginning this fall.
06/19/2008 - Eight student-athletes -- Julianne Bausch, Kim Byrnes, Maggie Ebner, Alyssa Faller, Keri Iheagwara, Rachel Karanian, Joie McLaughlin and Katie Pecoraro -- will join the Loyola women's soccer program in the fall as the Greyhounds took to return to the NCAA Women's College Cup.
